Job Description: Software Engineer/System Security
Join our dynamic team as a Software Engineer/System Security Specialist. This role demands a proactive expert in designing, developing, and deploying secure software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct regular code reviews, and implement robust security measures throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in secure coding practices and proficiency in languages such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and deploy software solutions adhering to project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements.
- Integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle.
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct regular code reviews, and address vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement secure software architectures, following defense-in-depth and least privilege principles.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis on existing software systems.
- Develop and execute security testing plans, including penetration testing and code analysis.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to address and mitigate security incidents.
- Stay informed about the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in relevant fields.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related fields.
- Certifications: Preferred: CEH, ECSA, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or other relevant certifications.
Skills:
Rapid web development using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap. Understanding of web application development processes and relational databases (e.g., MySQL). Proficiency in IDEs such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, or Visual Studio. Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity framework, ISO/IEC 27001) and risk management methodologies. Knowledge of patch management, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
