Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to provide daily IT support for VDO’s main office and provincial offices. Key responsibilities include:

• Installation and configuration of office networks in both the main and provincial offices.
• Swift resolution of system issues, including LAN, WAN, software, and hardware problems.
• Implementation of data backup and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss.
• Monitoring power and environmental conditions for technology equipment.
• Assisting the operation/procurement team in the purchase of IT and communication-related equipment.
• Supporting the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Program departments by providing IT devices and required software for project assessments and mentorship.
• Management and configuration of the Biometric Fingerprint machine, generating attendance reports, and ensuring its maintenance.
• Regular maintenance of all ICT-related equipment, addressing hardware and software issues.
• Configuration and maintenance of network devices such as CISCO Switches/Routers/Firewalls/CiscoIPS Appliances.
• Development of comprehensive databases as per the needs of each department.
• Maintenance and support of all databases.
• Recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations, determining hardware or software requirements for such changes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, Networking, and Database management.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel to provinces.
