Job Description:
Job Brief: As a Grant Coordinator/Proposal Writer, you will play a crucial role in preparing proposals. Your responsibilities include establishing strong relationships with donors, identifying proposal opportunities, meeting deadlines, and ensuring proposal quality.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relations with existing donors while actively seeking new opportunities.
- Identify proposal opportunities by studying requests for proposal (RFPs) and attending strategy meetings.
- Meet proposal deadlines by prioritizing information gathering, writing, review, and approval processes.
- Gather proposal information by coordinating submissions, identifying and communicating associated risks.
- Develop proposals by assembling project information, writing, revising, and editing drafts.
- Prepare presentations, coordinate printing, and ensure overall proposal quality.
- Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, and coordination.
- Stay updated on industry trends and maintain a network of relevant contacts.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a proposal writer or in a relevant role.
- Minimum MSc degree required.
- Understanding of business functions (HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
- Competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Experience in fundraising.
- Knowledge of data analysis, performance metrics, IT/business infrastructure, and office automation.
- Strong presentation, written communication, and graphic design skills.
- Excellent research and organizational abilities.
- Decision-making and problem-solving aptitude.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of ERTO.
- Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
